“The Case for God’s Love”

“Who Loves you Baby?”
Introduction:
Have you every considered the love that God has for you. Oftentimes, in our society love is misunderstood and comes with conditions. However, it is clear what the Bible says about love, God is Love! In today’s message I will reveal to at least three points regrading the case for God’s Love!
What is God’s Love?
God’s love is unconditional - “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself ().”
God’s Love is Everlasting - “Who shall separate us for the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or word? As it is written: “For You sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angel for principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:31:39).”
God’s Love is Real - For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son and whoever believes in him will not parish but have eternal life ().”
2. Why Does God Love?
God is Love - God cannot, not love because that is his essences or his makeup
3. Who Does God Love?
God loves all of humanity - God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love not that we loved God, but he loved us and sent his son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Conclusion:

Love, Unconditional

One Sunday a little boy looked up at his dad and asked, “Daddy, how does God love us?” His father answered, “Son, God loves us with an unconditional love.”

The lad thought for a moment and then asked, “Daddy, what kind of love is unconditional love?” After a few minutes of silence his father answered, “Do you remember the two boys who used to live next door to us and the cute little puppy they got last Christmas?” “Yes.” “Do you remember how they used to tease it, throw sticks and even rocks at it?” “Yes.” “Do you also remember how the puppy would always greet them with a wagging tail and would try to lick their faces?” “Yes.” “Well, that puppy had an unconditional love for those two boys. They certainly didn’t deserve his love for them because they were mean to him. But, he loved them anyway.”

The father then made his point: “God’s love for us is also unconditional. Men threw rocks at his Son, Jesus, and hit him with sticks. They even killed him. But, Jesus loved them anyway.”815
